Privacy Policy

At D-Tales Art & Tattoo, we care about creativity, good vibes, and your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

We’re D-Tales Art & Tattoo — an art studio and tattoo shop dedicated to bold ideas, clean lines, and a safe experience both in person and online. Our website address is https://fervent-snyder.50-21-181-93.plesk.page.

Comments

When you leave a comment on our site, we collect the information you enter in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser details. This helps us block spam and keep things running smoothly.

If you use Gravatar, an anonymized version of your email may be sent to them to check for a profile photo. Their privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your Gravatar profile image (if you use one) will appear beside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site, please remove any embedded location data (EXIF GPS) before uploading. Visitors may be able to download and extract this information.

Cookies

We use cookies to make your browsing and shopping experience smoother—nothing sneaky.

  • If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies for your convenience. These last for one year.
  • Visiting the login page sets a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
  • When you log in, we set cookies to remember your login and display preferences. Login cookies last two days; screen-option cookies last one year. If you choose “Remember Me”, your login stays active for two weeks.
  • If you log out, all login cookies are removed.
  • If you edit or publish an article, a cookie is saved containing only the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Some pages on our site may include embedded content (like videos, images, or articles). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the other website yourself.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with their content—especially if you are signed in to their platform.

Online Store & WooCommerce

When you make a purchase through our online shop, we collect the information needed to process your order securely and deliver your items. This may include your name, billing and shipping addresses, contact details, and order details.

Payments are handled through trusted third-party providers such as Stripe or WooPayments. We never store your full payment details on our servers.

  • We use your order information to process payments, ship items, provide customer support, and maintain accurate records.
  • We may store your order history so you can access past purchases and for inventory/accounting purposes.
  • If you create an account during checkout, your information is saved in your user profile for future orders.

Your shopping experience may also use cookies—such as keeping track of cart contents as you browse the site.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will appear in the reset email. We do not sell or trade your information—ever.

For online purchases, payment processors (like Stripe) receive the minimum information required to complete your transaction securely.

How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Comments and their metadata are stored indefinitely so we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments.
  • If you have an account, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can view, edit, or delete your information at any time (except your username).
  • Order records are kept as long as required for tax, accounting, legal, or warranty purposes.

Your Rights

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of all personal data we hold about you. You can also ask us to delete your personal data.

We will remove everything we legally can—some data may need to be retained for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service. Order and payment information may be securely processed by third-party payment providers.
